Annet Namyalo: Finding My Voice Through Humility

This can be achieved through becoming self-aware of myself by recognizing my strengths, weaknesses, and limitations, being open minded through being receptive to new ideas, perspectives and feedback, empathetic by putting myself in the shoes of others and modesty through avoiding arrogance and recognizing the value of other contributions.

As a leader, communication is key in achieving not only my personal goals but the overall goals of the organisation. I learnt that I need to communicate with clarity, keeping my messages simple to understand, and listening to the perspectives of my team.

Gaining back my confidence, most especially relating to my leadership styles, and above all ensuring that I uphold my values well — knowing they contribute to how I am known and creating trust amongst the people I lead, both directly and indirectly.
